Freezable Homemade Uncrustables (Ready-to-Print Version)

Delicious crustless sandwiches made ahead, ideal for lunches, trips, and snacks with simple, customizable ingredients.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 8 slices sandwich bread (white or wheat, excluding dense whole wheat or sourdough)

→ Fillings

02 - 120 ml smooth peanut butter (or preferred nut butter)
03 - 120 ml fruit jelly or jam of choice

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Lay out 8 slices of sandwich bread on a clean surface, ensuring they are soft and suitable for crust removal.
02 - Evenly spread peanut butter over the entire surface of each bread slice, extending to the edges for full coverage.
03 - Apply a layer of jelly or jam over the peanut butter on half of the slices, either spreading evenly or placing a central dollop.
04 - Place peanut butter-only slices atop jelly-spread slices to form sandwiches, aligning edges carefully.
05 - Using a 3 to 4-inch round biscuit or cookie cutter, press down firmly over each sandwich and remove crusts; pinch or press edges to seal fillings inside.
06 - Individually wrap each sealed sandwich in plastic wrap, then place wrapped sandwiches in a gallon-size freezer bag and lay flat in freezer until solid.
07 - After freezing, store sandwiches flat or stacked carefully without compression. Remove from freezer and pack directly in lunch containers without thawing.

# Handy Tips:

01 - Spreading peanut butter on both slices prevents bread sogginess by protecting it from jelly moisture.
02 - Leftover crusts make excellent breadcrumbs, croutons, or bird feed.
