Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C) or 284°F (140°C) for fan ovens. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang.

Break dark chocolate into pieces and combine with sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan. Heat gently over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and fully melted.

Remove the saucepan from heat immediately and quickly add the plain flour. Stir thoroughly to form a thick, smooth brownie batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Use a rubber spatula to evenly spread and press the mixture into the pan.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until a thin crust has formed on top and the brownies are cooked through.

Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan at room temperature for approximately 1 hour before lifting out and slicing into squares.
